Oh My God, like, the drama! At the heart of Season 5 Part 2 of Los Angeles "reality" series The Hills is the love triangle between Kristin, her ex-boyfriend Brody and possible new guy Justin Bobby. Meanwhile Spencer and Heidi are now married and Heidi wants babies, like, now!
All the action seems to take place in a series of hip LA restaurants/bars as the main "stars" drink their way through a sea of alcohol and eat a mountain of food – yet never putting on an ounce of weight. And it's basically all about who's dating who, who's stabbing who in the back and how many lies can they tell one another all while looking gorgeous on camera.
Kristin has been drafted in by producers after the exit of former 'lead star' Lauren and she immediately starts ruffling feathers by zooming in on Audrina's ex Justin Bobby but also flirting with her own ex Brody. She's obviously being set up to be the bitch of the series but she hardly helps her cause. Meanwhile quite why Heidi and Spencer spend their time going behind one another's backs as they decide whether to have kids instead of just sitting down and talking about it like adults is never really explained – but of course that wouldn't make "good TV".
It's all just vacuous nonsense really, by the end of the DVD I is was ready to chew my own arm off rather than watch another minute of these "beautiful people". I'm sure if you're a fan then this might be worth spending your money on, but I couldn't care less if Kristin ended up with Brody or Justin Bobby, they were all welcome to one another just not ever welcome on my TV screen ever again. It's SO over, bitches!
