Snow White is pimped out for this new spin on the classic fairytale we all know and love. No longer a sweet princess but more a spoiled socialite, this modern Snow White is reminiscent of a young Paris Hilton as she dances from party to party with her posse of girlfriends – none other than Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks and Little Bo Peep.

After Snow White’s mother, Queen Grace, falls ill and dies, it’s up to the young princess to take over the royal throne, but with a greater interest in parties than helping the local townsfolk, Snow White is less than keen to follow in her mother’s footsteps. But when her father The King marries Lady Vain, a scheming witch intent on ruling their kingdom, Snow White is tricked into spreading gossip amongst the townspeople and consequently forced to flee the town. But all is not lost for the princess, because whilst on her exile Snow encounters seven dwarves (and three little pigs) who help her to learn the value of helping others; and after discovering Lady Vain’s true plans, she proves that she is able to rule the kingdom and bring balance back to the town.

Although not comparable to its predecessor Happily N’Ever After, whose animation less resembles a cheap video game and falls more in line with computer-animated comedies like Shrek, this film does bring a smirk to the face with teen culture references used in an attempt to revitalise an old classic. Not something expected for adults to enjoy, but the kids will have a blast watching a trendy fairytale made just for them. Holla!

EXTRAS ** Three interactive games – Snow White and the Great Hall, Red Riding Hood Challenge, Bo Peep and the Sheep.
