The fifth feature film from the warped mind of Kevin Strange and the team at Hack Movies is something so bizarre and warped that it is in a league of its own. It’s the acrid and slimy product of the most distasteful melting pot imaginable: one part sex comedy, one part buddy movie, two parts Troma, and fifty parts disgusting. It’s the deformed love child of Pink Flamingos and The Toxic Avenger. In fact, scrap that, it’s simply a John Waters and Lloyd Kaufman abortion. It’s pure trash, total exploitation, complete filth. And I liked it a lot.
CockHammer, as do all of Kevin Strange’s films, would only appeal to a certain audience. A very niche minority who don’t mind having absolutely everything thrown at them. And I’m not just talking about everything but the kitchen sink here, I’m talking about more F-bombs dropped than anything that fell out of the sky in the Blitz, the downright dirtiest and deviated sex talk your ears will ever hear, and the most unnecessary blood and guts your eyes will ever see. Yes, CockHammer, as the title suggests, is quite a rollercoaster ride of exploitation, and one that would surely polarise the senses of any sane human being, and naturally, that’s the goal with every single one of Kevin Strange’s films.
Shot in just four weeks with a budget of only $500, CockHammer is the story of Terrance and Perander, two sex-obsessed and unemployed drug addicts whose equally amorous girlfriends are kidnapped by the goons of the occultist snuff pornographer CockHammer, who is hell-bent on utilising the mystical secrets of an ancient diary written by the sinister Black Mage, in an effort to become a demigod. What ensues is 81 minutes of ham acting by Hack Movies familiar favourites, cheap and cheerful special effects, full-frontal male nudity, constant blood-spilling, hypnotic cinematography, and a cameo by cult icon “The Plus-Size Goddess of Gore” Babette Bombshell, all of which make up pure and honest schlock fun to the highest degree, reaffirming Kevin Strange’s position as the shaman of the sick and twisted in today’s cinematic underworld. It’s deranged and perverse, but if you’re feeling freaky, check it out, and let the deviation commence.
